Description:
Mercy Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Receptionist to join our Health Care for the Homeless Team.
Position Purpose:
The Receptionist is responsible providing exceptional customer service to all patients and clients of the medical clinic located at the Friends of the Homeless Shelter on Worthington Street. Performs various clerical and administrative support functions to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the clinic. Greets patients and visitors to ensure proper routing and facilitates patient flow while promoting positive patient satisfaction and positive demeanor. Assists in maintaining patient records, office statistical data and practice performance parameters. The Receptionist completes a variety of clerical and data entry assignments and creates and maintains a professional, caring and customer-oriented environment.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Manage all incoming phone calls
- Perform scheduling and registration
- Greet visitors and facilitates patient flow while promoting a positive patient experience
- Complete a variety of clerical and data entry assignments
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Associate's preferred
- 1 -2 years' experience in healthcare preferred
- Excellent computer abilities
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Bilingual / bicultural in Spanish preferred
