Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Job Summary
The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and enforcing safety programs on construction sites to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture and prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans (SSSP)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and federal safety regulations
- Conduct daily and weekly job site safety inspections and audits
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training for workers and subcontractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and root cause analyses
- Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate with project management to integrate safety into daily operations
- Stop work activities when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce safety requirements
- Oversee PPE compliance and safety equipment usage
- Support emergency response planning and incident management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 3–10 years of construction safety experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)
- Experience working on active construction job sites
- Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, ASP, OSHA 30/500 (preferred)
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand construction processes

Work Environment
- Field-based role with daily presence on construction job sites
- Exposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and outdoor conditions
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
