Our client, Construction / Data Center Lease Fitout industry is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator – Construction to join their team. As an EHS Coordinator – Construction, you will be part of the Project Delivery / Health & Safety team supporting construction site operations and project management stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Coordinator (EHS) – Construction (Data Center Fitout)
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Pay Range: $66.19 – $71.30 per hour
- Review and assess health & safety implications of ongoing construction changes and activities
- Develop and implement reporting and communication structures for H&S performance across the project
- Attend and participate in planning, coordination, and safety meetings with site personnel and management
- Conduct independent health & safety audits to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations
- Identify, assess, and evaluate high-risk activities while ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- 5–8 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/EHS) within construction environments
- Experience in commercial construction and/or data center construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and site compliance requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Science, or related field preferred)
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast-paced site environment
