Arrowmark is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting in administering job site safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, providing administrative support and assisting with training employees. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role promoting a culture of safety within our organization. This position involves working closely with various teams in the construction industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicates the Company's safety vision and values of the Company with team members to ensure understanding, compliance and acceptance of the Company's safety programs and policies.
Assists with preparing, compiling and tracking safety training, safety certificates, accident and injury data, and other safety records
Conducts various safety training as necessary
Assists the Safety Manager with investigations, audits, OSHA compliance and adherence with other local, state, and federal regulations as well as all company policies and procedures.
Ensures safety & health training meets the needs of the company and regulating entities so team members have the safety training to safely perform tasks and jobs.
Assists the Safety Manager in reporting and managing safety-related claims.
Assists with safety incentive programs and rewards
Manages return to work/restricted duty program.
Assists and participates in the company Safety Committee.
Supports and follows all Safety policies, procedures, and practices
Other duties assigned as necessary
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
OSHA 30 and First Aid - CPR required
OSHA 500 preferred
Must have a valid AZ Driver License and acceptable MVR
2-4 years of experience in construction industry safety management.
Excellent knowledge of construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards, and apply them to conditions at job site.
Bilingual preferred.
Must have strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills a must.
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office products necessary.
This is a safety sensitive position. Must pass drug screen, physical, background check and MVR check
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, carry, push, type, and drive for long periods of time, talk, hear, see, lift up to 50lbs.
Extensive travel by vehicle.
Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor constructions jobsite settings.
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
Noise level varies based on location.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required
