What to Expect
The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance is integrated across new site openings (NSO), remodels, and infrastructure development projects. Partnering closely with the SSDC teams and Infrastructure Development stakeholders, the EHS Specialist will standardize and develop efficient processes, identify risks, and implement solutions to support business expansion and sustainability.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with SSDC, Infrastructure Development, and project management teams to integrate EHS procedures and best practices
- Manage the completion and submission of EHS permits and licenses required for compliance and site operation
- Conduct site EHS assessments and audits to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Support regional EHS partners with site readiness through the deployment of EHS standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support contractor safety management and ensure adherence to safety guidelines during projects
- Serve as the EHS liaison for multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of EHS issues
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of EHS experience including EHS permits/license management
- Prior experience working with electric vehicles, charging products or infrastructure, vehicle delivery or service operations preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, Building and Fire codes and other applicable safety standards
- Practical, hands-on experience with EHS policy/procedure development & EHS permit and license applications and renewals
- Able to influence and communicate effectively with site management, project and program managers, EHS leaders, regulators, technical staff, and third-party personnel
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and self-directed
