The Big Picture
The Field Safety Advisor helps ensure a safe working environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards on project sites. This role exists to protect workers from accidents and injuries, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety. There are three different tiers for this role. Each tier of the Field Safety Coordinator role is crucial for maintaining safety standards and preventing workplace incidents, ultimately contributing to the overall success and efficiency of Jacobsen Construction projects.
Your Day to Day
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
- Document inspection findings, incidents, and corrective actions
- Assist in organizing and delivering safety training for workers.
- Support investigations of accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevention.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all safety equipment.
- Monitor daily site activities for OSHA and safety regulation compliance.
- Participate in routine safety meetings to address concerns and improvements.
- Report safety issues or violations to supervisors with recommended actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture among workers and contractors.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid within your training level.
- Supervise the implementation of safety practices and ensure workers follow guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall project safety and efficiency.
