About the Role
We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to champion HSE excellence across our manufacturing and commercial operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive HSE performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safety-first culture. Your expertise in risk assessment and HSE standards will be instrumental in safeguarding our employees, assets, and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive HSE policies and procedures, aligning with corporate, local, and federal regulations, resulting in safer working conditions and heightened employee awareness.
- Guarantee adherence to regulatory mandates and internal HSE policies, driving continuous improvement through meticulously crafted annual HSE initiative plans.
- Expertly manage the annual HSE capital budget, ensuring seamless execution of the HSE plan and strict compliance with all internal and external standards.
- Champion a transformative safety culture, fostering innovative thinking and continuous improvement across all HSE programs and initiatives.
- Provide expert HSE guidance for facilities, processes, new projects, and change management activities, ensuring proactive risk mitigation.
- Establish robust performance standards and evaluation methods, meticulously tracking facility performance and implementing corrective actions based on thorough root cause analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement effective follow-up measures to minimize or eliminate potential hazards to employees, contractors, assets, and the environment.
- Cultivate a high-performing HSE team through targeted training, mentoring, and succession planning, enhancing their capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local and international safety and environment standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OSHA).
- Proficiency in HSE technical training (e.g., Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis).
- Proven ability to manage change and processes effectively in a complex environment.
- Master’s degree in Environment or Risk Prevention.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to provide leadership and technical expertise in HSE management.
