Job Title: Safety Officer – Training Focus
Location: Corona, CA
Rate: $30 – $35/hourly
Position Summary:
AMPCO Contracting Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer in Corona, CA, to lead safety training programs for all field employees. This role will primarily focus on delivering safety classes, ensuring employees are up-to-date on OSHA and company safety standards. The Safety Officer will occasionally visit job sites as needed to assess conditions or provide guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for field employees, including OSHA compliance, PPE usage, and job-specific safety procedures.
- Maintain and update training materials and records.
- Monitor employee compliance with safety standards through assessments and follow-up sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to field teams when on-site visits are required.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures, collaborating with management as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Required: OSHA 10 certification; additional certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER).
- Experience in conducting safety training for construction or industrial employees.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain detailed training records and documentation.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
Work Environment:
- Primarily classroom or office-based training setting in Corona, CA.
- Occasional travel to field sites may be required.
Pay: $30.55 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
