Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Prior Authorization Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the prior authorization process for fertility medications, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and regulations. You will work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate timely approvals for necessary treatments while maintaining adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
Duties
- Review and process prior authorization requests for fertility medications.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Maintain organized records of all prior authorization requests and outcomes.
- Collaborate to resolve any issues related to authorizations.
- Assist in training new staff on the prior authorization process as needed.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in prior authorization tools such as CoverMyMeds
- Experience with fertility medications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
