As our Patient Access Scheduler, you will help provides patient education by explaining preps and patient instructions for the scheduled procedure following scheduling protocols. Every day you will, schedule patient visits, collect important information and communicate with the patient necessary instructions. To thrive in this role you must, multi-task and navigate between multiple computer systems simultaneously.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Patient Access Scheduler:
- You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing high volumes of incoming calls and in-person interactions.
- You will schedule patient visits and procedures, coordinating with multiple hospitals and departments while adhering to clinical protocols.
- You will collect and enter necessary patient information, including demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance details, ensuring effective communication with clinical staff.
- You will provide patient education on procedures, inform about co-pays and deductibles, and review financial information with patients.
- You will communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients, ensuring attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask across various technology systems.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.73 - $19.66 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
