Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QCM / Superintendent / Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to lead construction projects with enthusiasm and precision. The position acts as the primary on-site representative to the Government and is responsible for maintaining the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) system, supervising field operations, and enforcing site safety. This role combines construction management expertise with a strong focus on safety and compliance, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will be proactive in risk management, occupational health, and safety protocols while maintaining high standards of construction quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive site safety plans aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk management procedures to prevent accidents and occupational injuries.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), workers' compensation policies, and other relevant standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and compliance records using construction management software.
- Lead safety meetings to promote a culture of safety awareness among all site personnel.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) policies and local regulations.
Requirements
- This role ensures all work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, approved submittals, federal safety regulations, and agency-specific standards including USACE, NAVFAC, and EM 385-1-1.
- Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in construction management software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives as a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO).
- Strong understanding of NEC codes, workers' compensation procedures, and general construction processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify hazards proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and implement effective safety measures.
- USACE CQM-C Certification (required)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction (required)
- SSHO Certification or EM 385-1-1 Competent Person training (required/preferred)
- First Aid / CPR (required)
- CHST or OSHA 500/502 (preferred)
- Software & Tools: RMS/QC
- Procore or similar construction management software
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
