Hiring A Full-Time Field Safety Professional in Construction
We at Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions, Inc. (EHSS) currently have an opportunity to expand our team of Safety Professionals. We are looking for a full-time Field Safety Professional / Leader who is seeking a personal and professional challenge and wants to grow within our company, long term in the Columbus Ohio area. EHSS is located in Industry, Pennsylvania. We provide safety and operational solutions to our partners nationwide. They are Owners, Construction Management Companies, General Contractors, Specialty Contractors, and Associations that serve a wide range of industries, including Coal, Gas & Nuclear Power Generation, Steel, Chemical, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas.
EHSS’s team of safety professionals, represent and serve our partners focus on driving and/or establishing our clients safety vision, and culture, while providing leadership and direction to support a workplace that encourages observation, advising, coaching and corrective actions.
We deliver quality and timely subject matter expertise. Our business support will ensure a safe, sustainable, efficient, and legally compliant work environment is established and maintained at all times.
***Flexibility to travel anytime, anyplace, anywhere, and under short notice is required to fully support our team.***
Position Requirements:
**Willing to travel*** current position is near COLUMBUS OHIO**
- 5 years’ experience as a Safety Professional required
- One or more of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, BCSP Certificate(s), or equivalent experience. ***REQUIRED***
- OSHA 30-hour Certification (Construction preferred) as well as extensive knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry, OSHA 1926 Construction Standards, OSHA 510 & 500 experience
- Communicate client safety policies, reports, workplace rules, requirements and procedures, providing Safety training / orientation, for new and current company team members while advising, encouraging observation, coaching and corrective actions
- Provide an in-field safety presence while demonstrating and effectively communicating the safety expectations of the owner/contractor as well as ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations
- Perform and document jobsite audits, observations and inspections to identify and correct hazards, mitigate risks, make recommendations and correct safety gaps
- Support the implementation of safety related process improvements and recognize hazardous conditions, communicating, documenting, and resolving the hazards
- Consistently provide data, as required, for various reports for the regulatory agencies, including MSHA, OSHA, FMCSA, permits, etc.
- Proficient computer and technological skills (Microsoft Office, word, excel, etc.)
- Effective organizational, time management, communication, writing and presentations skills
- Articulate confidently, using correct English, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
