WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
This role supports all Stanley Electric U.S. Co., Inc. London locations in Health and Safety functions and is responsible for deploying and effectively executing Health and Safety Programs and Policies to support the strategy and vision to achieve World Class Safety performance. This role actively participates in the areas of planning, EHS Governance, audit, management systems, best practice sharing and compliance initiatives by:
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the Health & Safety Programs, and implementing best practices.
- Assist in conducting safety investigations for the purpose of determining root cause of workplace incidents and preventing occurrence in the future.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
- Preparing and submitting all compliance reports for Federal, State and Local entities, customers, and parent company.
- Conducting incident investigations and using root cause analysis to develop corrective action plans.
- Administering Associate Personal Protective Equipment programs for safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Review and test emergency action plans and procedures.
- Coordinating SDS program for materials used, received and/or processed at the facility.
- Assisting Workers’ Compensation Claims management (in coordination with the Health & Benefits Coordinator, TPA, Legal Counsel and BWC).
- Facilitate EHS Meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, and identify corrective action opportunities.
- Facilitate effective new hire safety orientation for all new Associates.
- Maintaining accurate recordkeeping and documentation control.
- Conducting plant audits/inspections.
- Assisting Departments to perform Risk Assessments, JHA’s etc.
- Annual review of required Policies, Quality Work Instructions, Forms/Templates in compliance with Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on regulations by attending workplace safety and workers compensation compliance seminars and local Safety Council meetings.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management, or related field.
- Three to five years’ work experience required, with two years required in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other governmental regulations and laws including OSHA 300 Logs and requirements set by insurance carriers.
- Thorough knowledge of Workers’ Compensation regulations. Demonstrated ability to proactively manage company’s safety procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Experience with multi-location plants and 24/7 operation.
- Ability to influence up and down in an organization.
- Strong focus on behavioral safety and employee engagement.
These qualifications are preferred but not necessary for you to get started:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other EHS Professional Certification is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 General Industry
- OSHA 511, 501 Certified
- First Aid/CPR Certified
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Lifting max 40lbs (0.5) hours per day
