Job Summary – Physiotherapist
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy care across various settings, including home care environments. The ideal candidate will have strong medical terminology knowledge and experience in behavioral health and urgent care settings. This position requires a patient-centered approach, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide physiotherapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, comfort, and daily living activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and overall wellbeing; report changes to supervising clinicians.
- Support wound care management by changing dressings and bandages and assessing healing progress.
- Safely assist patients with transfers between wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys.
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, health management, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide support in behavioral health settings, addressing the needs of patients with mental health conditions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Valid Physiotherapist license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology; experience in home care or nursing home settings preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices is an advantage.
- Experience administering injections is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in urgent care, emergency room (ER), or teaching hospital environments is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
