Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You will work closely with patients, assisting them in their daily activities and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Your contribution will be vital in promoting recovery and enhancing the overall well-being of our clients.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the clinical team.
- Implement treatment plans as directed by mental health professionals, including techniques such as applied behavior analysis and psychotherapy.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, including dance therapy and other therapeutic activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Provide direct support to patients during telehealth sessions, ensuring they feel comfortable and engaged.
- Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment for both staff and patients.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in psychology or related fields is preferred.
- Experience in mental health settings is an advantage; familiarity with telehealth practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others improve their mental health.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while adhering to ethical standards of care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet patient care requirements.

Pay: $25.49 - $30.08 per hour
