We are seeking a detail-oriented, independent, responsive, persistent, proactive, responsible, optimistic person to join us as our Billing Manager. Experience with medical billing AND SimplePractice EHR is required.
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient operations of our billing team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Billing Operations Leadership: Lead and support the billing team to ensure accurate and efficient claims submission, payment processing, and cash flow optimization.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Analyze and oversee the revenue cycle, identifying process improvements to maintain consistent cash flow and reduce claim rejections.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure billing practices are compliant with HIPAA and relevant regulatory requirements, keeping up-to-date on mental health billing and coding standards.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Oversee and support billing staff, providing regular training, support, and mentorship.
- Coding Expertise and Support: Act as the subject matter expert in mental health CPT and ICD-10 coding, advising staff and providers on accurate coding practices.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable, prioritize collections, and oversee follow-up on outstanding balances to optimize receivables.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze billing, collections, and revenue reports, presenting findings and recommendations to practice leadership.
- Provider Collaboration: Work with clinical providers to resolve documentation or coding issues affecting claims, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency, reduce errors, and expedite payment.
- Client Billing Support: Oversee client billing communications, resolving payment-related inquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically.
- Technology and System Management: Manage billing software and related systems, ensuring data integrity, smooth operation, and timely updates.
