Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Safety and Contracts Manager to lead safety initiatives and oversee contractual compliance across our construction projects. This pivotal role combines expertise in occupational health, risk management, and construction management to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. Duties
Safety and Fleet Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) best practices to minimize risks on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to occupational health, construction activities, and environmental conditions; promptly address issues to prevent incidents.
- Manage all contractual documentation, ensuring compliance with workers' compensation policies, and other relevant regulations; oversee subcontracts for projects, amendments, and enforcement.
- Lead risk management efforts by assessing potential hazards, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring all team members are trained on safety procedures.
- Oversee construction management software systems for tracking safety metrics, compliance records, incident reports, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and safety teams to promote a culture of safety awareness and regulatory compliance across all sites.
- Respond swiftly to incidents or violations by conducting investigations, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage company fleet safety policies.
- Monitor fleet GPS's as required.
Contract Admin Support
- Assist with bid preparation, contract setup, and front-end project documentation.
- Review and maintain project contracts, subcontracts, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor prequalification processes, including collection and verification of required documentation.
- Review and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with project and company requirements.
- Support the administration of OCIP/CCIP programs, including enrollment, reporting, and coordination with insurance providers.
- Assist Project Managers with project closeout documentation and final deliverables.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing systems for contracts and project documentation.
Experience
- Experience with contract administration.
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong focus on safety oversight in projects.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, OSHA compliance management practices, and occupational health standards specific to the construction industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management strategies tailored for complex construction environments.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety training programs.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation policies and procedures relevant to construction workers’ safety.

Pay: $60,332.94 - $72,659.02 per year
