*Job Overview*
We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and organizing medical records and information within our healthcare facility. This will be on a contract at a Corrections Facility expected to last one year with the potential to extend
Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week
Must have strong administrative skills
Mon-Fri 7:30a-3:30pm / no weekends or holidays, NO OT
*Responsibilities*
- Organize and manage patient health information data
- Ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and security of health records
- Code patient information for reimbursement purposes
- Process release of information requests
- Utilize medical terminology and systems to accurately input data
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation
*Requirements*
- Proficiency in medical office procedures
- Knowledge of medical records management
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience with health information systems is a plus
-CPR/BLS certification preferred but not mandatory
-Drivers License
-Passport or Naturalization Card if born outside of the United States
Will be working in Mental Health - keeping track of spreadsheets,
Must be Highly organized and very detailed oriented
Will be maintaining stats, case load numbers, etc
Must be very proficient in Excel
Be a self starter and self learner
Will need to be able to go up and downstairs / be comfortable walking in corridor by themselves, unescorted
$17.00/h
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 per hour
