Job Summary
This position is primarily focused on dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. In addition, you'll assist with basic baking and prep tasks, supporting our bakers as needed. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our bakery operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a high standard of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, baking tools and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Maintain trash, bathrooms, and floor cleanliness
- Assist with ingredient prep (measuring, mixing, portioning, etc.)
- Help bakers with task such as scooping dough, pressing bread, cutting bars, etc.
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support the team with other duties as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, including roles such as restaurant or kitchen assistant.
- Reliable, punctual and hard working.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is beneficial.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- A background in culinary arts or hotel experience will be advantageous for this role.
