Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Surgery Scheduler join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our organization. This position requires strong administrative skills, exceptional patient service abilities, and proficiency in various software applications, including Athena and Epic.
Responsibilities
- Complete and accurate scheduling of surgical services for patients
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Develop and maintain working relationships with physicians and staff and staff at facilities.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Obtain insurance pre authorizations as needed
- Provide pre and post operative instructions per protocol
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Previous surgery/procedure scheduling
- Familiarity with Athena and Epic
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to assist diverse patient populations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.62 - $25.00 per hour
