We are looking for
- Respond to and investigate events, including injuries and near-miss events, ensuring safety corrective actions are monitored and documented
- Monitor and inspect the facility and its equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
- Performs reviews of Safety Data Sheets and ensures compliance with OSHA’s Hazardous Communication regulation
- Provides recommendation on safe chemical use, handling, storage, and disposal, ensuring compliance with waste regulations
- Monitor and suggest the use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Facilitate internal audit and inspection programs relating to Health and Safety
- Administer employee training programs and policies around health and safety regulations and best practices in accordance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with management team to define EHS goals and objectives
- Ensure that all safety-related documentation and records are properly maintained and updated
- Communicates with all departments on planning, solution, and training for best practice to properly eliminate or control hazards by use of engineered systems or personal protective equipment
- Some knowledge of industry safety standards and the ability to research and learn as needed
- Professionally represent the company with 3rd party regulatory agencies
- Conducts observations, inspections and audits. Prepares reports and communicates unsafe findings to appropriate authorities to address root causes and determining corrective action
- Supports and drives the investigation of near misses, incidents, and coordinates the preparation of material and evidence to identify root causes for the purpose of developing corrective and preventative actions
