The Director of Safety is responsible for enforcing safety practices and policies, coordinating, or conducting safety
training and ensuring that the staff is complying across all verticals and in different states. The Director of Safety
supports the business’s success and growth by managing health and safety programs.

- Provides leadership for short-and long-range planning for all safety initiatives: innovation, vision, goals,
program objectives/strategies/activities, infrastructure, staffing, training, evaluation, budgeting, and collaboration with others.
- Develop, maintain, and implement workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, industry, and state standards; ensure they are up-to-date and communicated.
- Manage each employee’s safety certifications and expiration dates.
- Keep company and customer databases up to date for certification and safety compliance.
- Provide employees with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.
- Create and manage a safety training program across multiple lines of business and in different multiple states.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards in regions of new business or new verticals.
Working with management to start/open new locations.
- Oversee the company's safety operations and identify opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
- Work with and lead the assigned Safety team to maintain and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Perform safety audits and physically inspect all work areas, equipment, gear, and jobsites to identify possible safety issues. Monitor checklists and logs to ensure compliance.• Conduct risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, or long-term health hazards.
- Prepare monthly or annual safety reports and present the information to management.
- Collaborate with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget.
- Responsible for managing the inventory of all safety related materials.
- Responsible for managing the ASCEND fleet to include DOT compliance. Works with local management to ensure safety and registration compliance.
Education and Related Work Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a similar field, or related field, or the
equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- A minimum of 3 years of construction safety experience is preferred.
- A certificate in occupational health and safety management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety legislation.
- Solid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace.
- Familiarity with writing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Working knowledge of safety management software.
- Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage programs and
projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding and demonstration of “client-centered” support and services.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to remain calm, deliberate, and tactful in stressful and emotional situations.
- Ability to travel to company’s various locations; including overnight stays.
- Demonstrated supervisory ability.
- Valid state driver’s license.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
