Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various settings, including commercial spaces, hotels, and residential areas. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cleaning operations effectively. The Cleaner will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently while supervising and training staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in accordance with established procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Supervise and manage a team of cleaners, ensuring that all cleaning assignments are completed to the highest standards.
- Launder linens and other materials as required, ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of items.
- Implement effective housekeeping management practices to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to new staff on cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around operational needs.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Must have valid identification
- Good driver's license is a plus!
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and housekeeping management practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff and guests professionally.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
