Patient advocate to help individuals navigate through our adult autism diagnostic program

Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

Greet, outreach and support patients who have signed up for autism assessments
Complete video/phone calls for welcome and patient education
Answer patient and family members questions about the process
Attend clinician meetings at patient request
Advocate for the patient and services provided
Organize and compile patient documentation for clinician review
Follow up with patient after completion of assessment and coordinate follow up

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of neurodiversity with lived experience, work experience or educational experience
Interest and commitment to neuro-affirming practices
Willingness to use video service, phone, email and text to communicate with patients, both scheduled and impromptu
Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
Ability to prepare records and reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

Clinical licensure not required
Experience and training preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Located within the United States

Salary

$25 - $25 per hour
