The Regional Safety Manager will complete compliance audits, deliver safety training, and determine if risks meet “Best Practice” guidelines. This job requires detailed review of risks, hands‐on safety training, and program development.
A key focus of the role is to identify and assess risks, and effectively implement safety programs to reduce losses on prospective and existing risks. The candidate must maintain open and clear communication with underwriting, claims, broker services, and insurance agents.

Primary Job Responsibilities: (consists of but are not limited to)
- Conduct detailed compliance audits on prospective risks.
- Develop and present various training programs regarding all areas of coverage, including general liability, automobile, and workers compensation.
- Provide specific recommendations to improve desirability of prospective risks.
- Return completed reports promptly and within company guidelines.
- Communicate prospective risk issues or concerns and non‐compliance with “best practices”.
- Oversee job sites to verify company expected results are achieved.
- Write reports for claims promptly and within company guidelines.
- Timely and accurate billing and tracking of hours to files.
- Timely and accurate travel and expense reporting.
Additional Job Responsibilities: (consists of but are not limited to)
- Follow-up with insured risks and third‐party clients on recommendations and warranties.
- Ensure all workflows, procedures, departmental manuals, and standards are being adhered to.
- Act as a resource for all departments with regard to loss prevention and risk management. Provide support to Sales team.
- Oversee extended, environmental cleanups managing remediation vendors, contractors, and other vendors.
- Conduct field investigation and site review for initial claim assessment.
- Interact with all departments and brokers to ensure open communication and cohesiveness.
- Timely and accurate development of all management and productivity reports.
Driving Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
Job Requirements:
- Education: BS/BA, and Loss Prevention, Risk Management, or Claims designations are preferred.
- Experience: At least four years of professional experience is required. Prior experience in fleet compliance and management, DOT compliance, and/or fuel distribution industry. Claims/Property & Casualty insurance experience highly preferred.
- Desired Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. In‐depth understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations (NFPA, NPGA are a plus). Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills. Must be detailed oriented and have good analytical and decision‐making initiative.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
