General Description
This position will allow you to be a part of large construction projects to promote and ensure effective safety operations by conducting safety inspections, administering investigation training, communicating incident prevention, and achieving our safety goals. Support daily field operations, working directly with construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on safely.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop a zero-injury safety culture on each assigned project
- Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections
- Identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents
- Assist with incident investigations on projects and act as a resource to our project teams
- Plan and coordinate an overall occupation safety and health program for employees.
- Identifies conditions which create hazards for workers, and the public.
- Works with project team to eliminate unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Coordinates and implements safety trainings and employee onboarding.
- Acts as a liaison between management and field employees on Health and Safety items.
- Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field at an accredited university.
- 2-3 years of Construction experience can substitute the bachelor’s degree requirement
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel
- Ability to travel to specified construction projects in and out of the Chicagoland area.
- Capable to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
- Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs
- 0-1 years of experience is great, however, candidates who have an interest in all things’ safety are encouraged to apply. We will train.
