Overview:
The Manager for Transcription is responsible for all operational functions of the department, to include providing staff direction, coordinating quality reviews, responding to customer service inquiries, distributing work, tracking departmental metrics, managing and directing dictated reports, achieving required turnaround time for all dictated reports.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and guides the Transcription area, as well as in identifying and carrying out operational improvements, staff development, conducting performance reviews, performing payroll functions, completing staffing plans, and administering disciplinary actions, as necessary.
- Develops and manages systems for continuously monitoring, evaluating, reporting, and improving the effectiveness of the services and operations for the transcription area to ensure that target productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met.
- Directs the Human Resources at the department level to achieve desired turnaround time of dictated/transcribed reports.
- Assists in the development, evaluation and revision of policies and procedures, as well as job descriptions, work flows, and tools.
- Effectively collaborate/communicate with all customers.
- Coordinates and tracks quality reviews of employed transcriptionists.
- Track, trend, and report on departmental volume.
- Ensures that the assigned areas are staffed appropriately at all times.
Qualifications:

- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- 5 years’ supervisory experience; minimum of 3 years transcribing experience in an acute care facility preferred
- College level education preferred.
- Coordination and communication skills required.
Min: USD $31.94/Hr. Max: USD $57.49/Hr. Benefits:
