Your proficiency in various imaging modalities, including CT scans, DEXA scans, and sonography, combined with your solid understanding of physiology and anatomy, will ensure high-quality imaging services. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and positioning them correctly to obtain optimal images
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination
- Conduct specialized imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, and sonography when required
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on diagnostic needs and patient history
- Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and technical parameters for accurate record-keeping
- Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment through routine checks and timely reporting of any technical issues
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation to produce precise images that support clinical decisions
Experience
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical or hospital setting with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
- Familiarity with CT imaging techniques, DEXA scans, sonography procedures, and related diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients and interpret preliminary image quality concerns
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Prior experience working with diverse patient populations while demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy
