- High responsibility: technicians must be prepared to respond to life-threatening emergencies, similar to EMTs, paramedics, or rescue professionals.
- Rigging up and down safety equipment at locations for drilling rigs, workover units, frac, etc.
- Working outside in all weather conditions, and at times in hazardous atmospheres.
- Working both in and around Hydrogen Sulfide.
- Supervising and permit writing for Confined Space, Hot Work, and critical tasks.
- Perform Rescue functions for a variety of oilfield applications.
- Perform all work in compliance with associated state and federal safety standards and regulations.
- Be the Safety Professional at all times when on location.
- Adhere to all ASSI policy and procedures.
- Perform all job duties in alignment with ASSI professional standards.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by ASSI leadership.
- Meet or Exceed all assigned goals and expectations as determined by leadership
- Scheduled days off allowing for work and home life balance
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be willing to learn all safety state and federal standards and regulations
- Exhibit high levels of integrity, self-discipline, and willingness to learn and improve
- Must be able to carry 75 lbs and work outside in all climates
- Must be able to perform duties while wearing a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) and full faced mask
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Pre Employment Testing: Physical Fitness Evaluation (sit ups, push ups, 1 mile run), Panel Interview, 50 Question Written Test
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid driver license with a clean MVR
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug test
- Must live locally (25-mile radius of Odessa/ Midland)
- Must be available for early to late shifts and weekends (this is not an 8-5; M to F job). Long, irregular hours: early mornings, late nights, extensive driving to and from remote job sites.

*Due to the extensive level of training provided, recovery costs for certifications in the event of early termination (6 months or less) may be assessed.
