Job Overview
Full time opportunity with our client who provides innovative and scalable fiber optic products and solutions, engineering expertise and integrated services for data center, wireline and wireless network operators, cloud content providers and enterprise customers around the world.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections and audits during night shifts to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures tailored to manufacturing environments.
- Provide first aid and CPR training to team members, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents through root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed report writing on safety observations, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Facilitate occupational health initiatives by monitoring environmental conditions such as air quality, chemical handling, and ergonomic practices.
- Lead training and development sessions focused on workers' compensation law, OSHA standards, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), and best safety practices.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Stay current with updates in OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing safety management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers' compensation law, and occupational health principles.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and workplace safety training programs.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail in documenting incidents and inspections.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify systemic issues.
- Effective communication skills for delivering training sessions and safety briefings.
- Demonstrated ability to develop safety programs that promote a proactive safety culture across diverse teams. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
