Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) to serve as the primary expert on safety and health matters. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, and DoD policies. This role involves conducting risk assessments and site inspections to ensure compliance and foster a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead safety expert, ensuring alignment with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Create safety plans, including Safety and Health Plans and Accident Prevention Plans.
- Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments, and develop countermeasures.
- Lead site visits to perform policy reviews, direct observations, and interviews.
- Prepare detailed reports, including evaluations of safety program effectiveness and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to implement best practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) required.
- 5+ years of experience in safety program management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and DoD safety policies.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to travel domestically for monthly site visits.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $200.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
