I. Job Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and staff areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety. Assisting in the completion of manual tasks as assigned by the kitchen management team.
II. Essential Job Functions
Job Activities
- Completes all assigned tasks in line with standards.
- Has a thorough understanding of and adherence to regulations, in particular relating to Fire, Hygiene, and Health and Safety.
- Reports for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform at all times.
- Ensures they are adhering to all policies and operational procedures at all times.
- Undertakes all cleaning duties and any additional tasks, as directed by the kitchen management team.
- Stows away deliveries, discards all boxes and packaging and ensures food is labeled and rotated correctly.
- Ensures all duties are completed within the required time frames.
- Complies with all rules and regulations that are in place regarding food hygiene and health & safety practices.
- Ensures kitchen waste is disposed of in a responsible manner and in line with company policy and local council regulations.
- Cleans and washes pots & pans and other dishes in a careful manner to reduce breakages.
- Leaves the area clean, neat and tidy.
