- Per Diem ($125 - 7 days)
- Completion Bonus: $150/month

- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Project Scope:
The project involves the new construction of a data center, focusing on electrical systems installation and integration. The Safety Manager will work closely with the electrical contractor to ensure that all construction activities comply with safety protocols, OSHA standards, and industry regulations. This role requires expertise in managing safety on complex, fast-paced data center projects, which include high-risk activities such as electrical work, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in construction safety management, with electrical safety experience preferred. Previous experience managing safety on data center construction projects is highly desirable.
Certifications:
CHST / STS-C Required. Additional qualifications in electrical safety, confined space, and fall protection are a plus.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
- Lead safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors on-site, with a focus on high-risk data center activities.
- Develop and implement safety training tailored to the needs of electrical contractors and data center construction teams.
- Monitor daily site operations, enforce safety practices, and promote a culture of safety across all teams involved in the project.
- Review and maintain safety documentation, contractor correspondence, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with project management to address and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Perform additional environmental health and safety (EHS) tasks as required based on project needs.
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking, communication, and leadership skills to effectively train and engage with the workforce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and safety management software.
- Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is highly valued.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily based in a data center construction setting but may involve some work in warehouse and manufacturing environments. The position may require after-hours work or weekend availability in response to project demands or emergencies.
