YDE is seeking the right On-Site Safety Representative for a two-year Construction Project downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

- NO relocation or per diem available for this project.
The key role of a Site Safety Representative is to work with Prime Contractors, Sub Contractors, Vendors, and Visitors to keep Safety as a top priority from the beginning to the completion of each construction project. The Team Member in this position will work on construction sites.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Complete site safety documented observations.
- Facilitate corrective measures as needed.
- Represent the Prime Contractor or Owner in progress meetings.
- Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by applicable regulations, policies, and SOPs.
- Work with contractors to review and complete Job Hazard Analysis
- Review Sub Contractor safety manuals.
- Review documentation for prequalification.
- Conduct Safety Orientations for the project.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of overall construction safety experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a safety management position.
- Thorough knowledge of construction safety regulations.
- Understand safety regulations as they apply to site/civil work, structural steel, electrical, mechanical, confined space entry, roofing, and excavation.
- Experience with cranes is a plus.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course
- First-aid/CPR certification (American Red Cross or the American Heart Association)
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- CHST
Certifications:
One or more of the of the following certifications is preferred:
Physical Demands of the job may include:
- Frequently walking project site(s). Will get your daily 10K steps!
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Standing and sitting in one place for extended periods.
- Working in extreme weather. Outdoor construction all year round.
- Exposure to loud noises. PPE provided and required!
- Wearing personal protective gear consistently and properly.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
