Patient Care Caller
Are you an organized, adaptable, and experienced communicator ready to make a difference in patient care? Join our team across five practices in Brooklyn and Queens as a Patient Care Caller.
Responsibilities:
- Reach out to patients via phone calls to follow up on their recent medical appointments or treatments.
- Listen attentively to patients' concerns, questions, and feedback regarding their care experience.
- Provide empathetic and knowledgeable responses to address patients' inquiries or escalate issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all interactions with patients in our database or electronic dental records system.
- Ensure compliance with all patient privacy and confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA) during interactions.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on healthcare procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or patient care role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying empathy and professionalism over the phone.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in using computers and electronic medical records systems; familiarity with CRM software is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging or emotional situations.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
Salary: $30,000-300,000
