Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position ofHealth and Wellbeing Specialist. This position will directly support the Health & Wellbeingdivision of the People Teamand is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have gained some entry-level experience in human resources and are ready to develop their skills and knowledge at the next level.
**This is a limited-term agreement (LTA) position funded through 6/30/2025. This LTA may be eligible for renewal based on department need and budget approval.**
This position reports to the Health & Wellbeing Manager and primarily provides technical and administrative support to all programs administered by the Health & Wellbeing Team to include Benefits Administration, Leave Administration, Safety Programs, Wellness Programs, and Workers’ Compensation.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assists with the coordination of Town wide health and wellbeing programs which includes employee benefits, leave administration, retirement planning, safety, wellness programs and workers’ compensation.
- Serves as a member of the champion team for health and wellbeing programs.
- Assists with coordinating periodic special events, training and other campaigns related to health and wellbeing programs. May conduct training sessions.
- Maintains databases and ensures timely data entry employees who reach out with questions related to health and wellbeing.
- Performs administrative duties associated with health and wellbeing programs, trainings and other events to include assisting with the coordination of meetings, drafting correspondence and maintaining records.
- Reconciles and processes invoices for payment.
- Assists with new employee orientation and educates employees on available health & wellbeing programs, conducts informational sessions, and provides resources to enhance employee understanding of programs offered.
- Collects, analyzes and interprets data from a variety of sources to identify trends, patterns and insights and makes data informed recommendations.
- Assists with development of marketing materials for a variety of initiatives coordinated by the health and wellbeing team.
- Assist in determining recordability of workplace injuries and assist in documenting and recording workplace injuries on the OSHA 300 log.
- Maintains accurate records and files in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Town guidelines in digital filing.
- May assist with conducting safety audits, inspections and hazard and risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Associate's degree or higher in a related field;
- Three years of customer service and/or administrative support experience, HR experience very helpful;
- Microsoft Office 365 skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook;
- Professional written/verbal communication ability;
- Ability to effectively utilize, or quickly learn, the Town's technology which includes: SharePoint, OnBase, PayScale, NeoGov, Kronos, and Munis;
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential duties.

This position is scheduled Mon -Thu, from 7 am - 6 pm, and is classified as ''hybrid", meaning at least fifty percent of time per week on-site. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by the hire date.
