Position Summary
The Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Manager is responsible for overseeing The Progress Place's quality management program, ensuring compliance with all DBHDD, Medicaid, Joint Commission, and organizational requirements. This position provides leadership and oversight of quality improvement initiatives, internal audits, corrective action plans, performance improvement projects, and staff compliance monitoring.
The QA/QI Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and works collaboratively with department managers to ensure continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and positive client outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in behavioral health, human services, or healthcare administration.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the Georgia DBHDD Behavioral Health Provider Manual.
- Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements and service delivery standards.
- Experience with accreditation standards, including Joint Commission preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance Management
- Monitor compliance with DBHDD, Medicaid, Joint Commission, and organizational standards.
- Conduct routine chart audits and documentation reviews.
- Monitor corrective action plans and follow-up activities.
- Review incidents, grievances, and risk management trends.
- Assist departments with audit preparation and readiness.
Quality Improvement
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Track key performance indicators and outcome measures.
- Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Present quality reports to leadership and management teams.
- Facilitate Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs).
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and supervise Medical staff and assigned team members.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
- Collaborate with department leaders to improve compliance and service quality.
- Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning initiatives.
Audit and Accreditation Oversight
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain readiness for DBHDD, Medicaid, Care Management Organization, and Joint Commission reviews.
- Track findings and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop audit tools and monitoring systems.
Staff Training
- Provide ongoing compliance and documentation training.
- Develop quality improvement educational materials.
- Support onboarding and annual compliance training initiatives.

Performance Expectations
- Maintain audit compliance rate of 90% or greater.
- Complete monthly quality assurance audits.
- Submit monthly QA/QI reports by established deadlines.
- Ensure corrective action plans are completed within required timeframes.
- Maintain continuous readiness for external audits and accreditation reviews.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to travel occasionally to program locations and audit sites as needed.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
