Clinical Research Coordinator
The individual in this position is responsible for the professional execution of clinical research activities under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager, Clinical Director and Principal Investigators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of patient treatment associated with trial execution including enrollment, patient consent, lab work, and drug distribution.
- Participate in regular departmental meetings.
- Ensure general inquiries from current and prospective patients, investigators, sponsors, and contract research organizations are appropriately managed.
- Assess and handle all clinical research related issues with electronic health records system.
- Evaluate, create, and maintain all clinical research standard operating procedures.
- Work with Sponsors/CRO’s during Interim Monitoring Visits, Site Initiation Visits, Close Out Visits and Audits
- Work with other members of the Clinical Research Staff as needed in a supporting role (Back Up Study Coordinator)
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Clinical Research/Study Coordinator minimum
- Experience in Neurology Clinical Trials Preferred (ALS, Alzheimer’s Disease, Migraine, Parkinson’s Disease
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and FDA CFR regulations as they apply to clinical research
- Proficient in MS Office applications/Outlook/
- Familiar with electronic medical records system
- Proficient with electronic or remote data capture
- Detail oriented
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Problem solving skills
- Proven initiative and work ethic
- Experience with budget and contract negotiations
- Certification through ACRP or SOCRA preferred but not required
