Safety Worxs is seeking experienced Construction Safety Professionals to support ongoing heavy-civil projects in Honolulu, HI. These roles are field-based and require strong boots-on-the-ground leadership to ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA standards, and project-specific safety requirements.
The ideal candidate is proactive, visible in the field, confident engaging crews, and committed to maintaining a high-performance safety culture in dynamic construction environments.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce and administer site-specific safety programs in compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; implement corrective actions
- Lead and document toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Support and/or lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Review and monitor high-risk activities (excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, confined space, etc.)
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations
- Promote a proactive, accountable safety culture across all trades
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction safety experience (heavy civil preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- EM 385-1-1 experience preferred
- Experience supporting high-risk construction activities
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced field environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting
- Must be able to pass a DBIDS background
- BCSP Certification
Preferred:
- OSHA 500
- CSHO or other advanced safety certifications
- Experience on federal or P3 infrastructure projects
