The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and enforcing safety procedures across all construction projects to ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. This role works closely with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture and prevent workplace incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures on job sites
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Work with project teams to identify and mitigate potential job site hazards
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
Requirements:
- Experience in construction safety management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Ability to conduct safety training and enforce compliance in the field
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 30 or higher preferred (CHST or CSP certifications are a plus)
