Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Manager for an on-site role for field operations in Texarkana, TX. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and foster a culture of safety excellence. Your leadership will help protect our team members, reduce risks, and promote a safe working environment.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate safety training sessions, including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, OSHA compliance training, and specialized EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs for employees.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records related to Workers' Compensation Law.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
- Stay current on industry best practices, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations, and evolving occupational health standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, Workers’ Compensation Law, and occupational health principles.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR with experience in emergency response procedures.
- Proven ability in report writing, documentation, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on safety training & development.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and report findings clearly.
