This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician with IV certification and experience in oncology, looking to advance their sterile compounding skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves supporting sterile compounding operations in a clean room setting, primarily within cancer center pharmacy services.
Location: Glendale, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing sterile compounded medications following strict protocols
- Traveling to various Valley sites including Northridge, Mission Hills, Van Nuys, Burbank, Santa Clarita, Glendale, and Tarzana to provide sterile compounding support
- Completing comprehensive training in Los Angeles for two months to ensure mastery of procedures and safety standards
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification
- 1-2 years of recent sterile compounding experience, preferably within oncology
- IV certification and familiarity with RX - IV and RX - Oncology preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple site locations after training completion
