Summary:
As the Safety Manager, you play a vital role in protecting the well-being of team members, guests, and the integrity of the Company’s properties. You are responsible for leading, monitoring, implementing and continuously improving the workplace safety program, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and best practices. By proactively identifying, mitigating, and eliminating hazardous conditions, you help prevent injuries and property damage while fostering a culture of safety. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure that daily operations run smoothly and that every guest experience meets or exceeds expectations. You are also the key point of contact for managing escalated safety concerns and resolving issues involving guests or team members with professionalism, urgency, and care.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, coach, evaluate, and manage department staff to support high performance, engagement, and alignment with company standards and service excellence
- Drive the execution of strategic initiatives by translating organizational goals into actionable plans, ensuring team alignment, accountability, and timely delivery under the guidance of division leadership
- Assist with Workers Compensation management, track metrics and trends and OSHA/State reporting
- Establish and uphold service standards within assigned department(s), ensuring consistent delivery that meets or exceeds guest expectations and operational goals
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for team members, including OSHA-compliant protocols and job-specific procedures
- Perform regular on-site risk and safety analysis to identify potential risks to team members, guests, and property; apply preventative measures using industry best practices and data-driven techniques
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes of violations, and deliver corrective actions and recommendations to departmental leadership
- Oversee Company Safety Committees, providing guidance, direction, and education on current safety issues and improvement opportunities
- Conduct scheduled and surprise safety inspections across all departments, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
- Serve as the GEI Program System Administrator for MSDS Online and oversee permit compliance, including Nevada State Fire Marshal Hazardous Materials Permits
- Oversee payroll and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

Requirements:
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of safety management or occupational health experience; includes leadership or progressive responsibility in safety, compliance, or facilities risk management
- Proven track record of effective decision-making under pressure and in dynamic environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence, coach, and resolve conflict across all levels of the organization
- Ability to adapt leadership style to support changing business needs and team dynamics
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement
- Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and drive results
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, safety protocols, and hazardous material regulations
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise safety documentation and reports
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting safety codes, procedures, and manuals
- Ability to train others and communicate technical material effectively in both small groups and one-on-one
- Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
- Experience with MSDS Online and electronic permit management systems preferred
Requirements
- This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
- Safety-related certification (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
