The EH&S Director will lead Ironclad’s nationwide environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, EPA, and state regulations. This position is responsible for building a strong safety culture, managing transportation compliance, and supporting operational excellence across all locations.
Oversee OSHA, FMCSA, EPA, and state-specific compliance across a multi-state footprint.
Develop and execute a corporate safety strategy aligned with business goals and operational priorities.
Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Promote a proactive safety culture that reduces incidents and improves employee engagement.
Manage fleet safety programs for commercial and non-commercial vehicles using telematics and driver coaching.
Oversee vehicle titling, registration, and fleet recordkeeping using advanced management systems.
Partner with brokers during annual insurance renewals, providing claims data and risk mitigation strategies for auto, workers’ compensation, pollution, and umbrella coverage.
Provide EHS expertise during M&A activities, assessing and integrating safety programs for acquired entities.
Lead training and professional development for regional and local leadership teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Accounting, and Training teams.
Work with General Counsel on regulatory and legal matters, offering documentation and expert analysis.
10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in multi-site operations.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
Proven track record in fleet safety, insurance strategy, and telematics technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive culture change.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
