Position Summary:
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a large-scale construction project in San Carlos, CA. The position will oversee site-level safety activities, conduct daily inspections and orientations, and ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site safety audits, inspections, and reports in accordance with project safety plans.
- Lead morning stretch-and-flex sessions and deliver safety orientations for field teams.
- Attend and document weekly safety meetings with the general contractor, owner, and internal project staff.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards through proactive field engagement.
- Support incident and accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company-specific safety requirements.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the jobsite.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of construction safety or related field experience required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards.
- OSHA 30 (required); STSC preferred; CHST or CSP a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple trades, contractors, and field supervision.
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to managing jobsite conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
