Job Description: The Packager is responsible for assisting the Inventory Manager with all aspects of packaging and bringing in allbulk products for sale in Tree of Life including: sales forecasting; anticipating sales trends; regulatory and policy compliance; and inventory control and management. Therefore, the Packager must have a solid knowledge of cannabis as well as any other products available (such as edibles and other infusion products). S/he must be able to anticipate trends in sales. And s/he must understand cultivation and production, as well cannabis testing. S/he must also be knowledgeable about Nevada state and local laws pertaining to cannabis. The Packager must be a self-starter capable of finding and evaluating business opportunities. S/he also must be computer literate and able to use Point of Sale (POS) equipment and software. Specific Responsibilities:
· Assist the Inventory Manager with all dispensary operations pertaining to the intake of bulk product into the store
· Receiving orders physically and ensuring all proper documentation is present
· Maintaining all paper and digital inventory files including lab results
· Accurately weigh and measure cannabis flower products to ensure compliance with regulatory and company-specific requirements
· Use scales and measuring tools to achieve precise measurments
· Ensure proper sealing and labeling of all packages and following packaging guidelines to maintain product quality and freshness
· Inspect cannabis flower for any visual defects or contaminants and report any issues to management
· Receiving orders digitally across POS and state compliance software systems
· Processing orders (weighing, bagging, and/or applying stickers)
· Communicating processing needs with management
· Assist in the auditing of inventory and investigations
· Converting bulk product into packaged product in our PoS
· Conducting daily inventory counts as needed
· Conducting weekly physical inventory audits
· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and teamwork within the packaging department
· Stay up to date with industry developments, regulations, and company policies
· Communicating needs of operation with management
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekendsand holidays to meet the needs of the business.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Follow strict hygiene and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination
· Help track dispensary sales and forecasting, including weekly summaries of metrics.Bring any findings to Assistant Inventory Manager and Procurement manager
· Perform daily inventory management
· Maintain a culture of high-quality customer service and internal personal communication.
· Ensure compliance with all state and local laws, regulations,and ordinances.
· Ensure compliance with all Dispensary policies and procedures.
· Assist State and Local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.
· Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
· Contribute to team environment and company advancement per strategic direction set by leadership.
Requirements:
· Must be 21 or over
· Professionalism at all times, team problem solving, inventory control experience
· Past experience in cannabis
· Past experience with METRC and product conversions
· Compliance with all state and local cannabis industry regulations
· Computer literacy
· Strong work ethic and reliability
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
· Competency in POS systems
· Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills, positive and cheerful attitude, with a strong attention to detail
· Must be reliable, honest, responsibleand mature with a strong work ethic.
· Clean and well organized
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
· Ability to lift upto 50 lbs on a daily basis
· Ability to stand, lift, kneel and stoop
· Ability to read COAs, computer screens and Metrcpaperwork.
· Ability to count and keep track of large numbers of inventory items
· Successful completion of a thorough personal reference check and background check from the CCB. Note that any applicant with a violent felony or drug-related offense (Conclusion of sentence, probation, and/or incarceration within the past 10 years) is not eligible to become a dispensary agent.
Authorities:
· Authority to enter dispensary vault & packaging room
· Authority to process inventory
· Authority to move inventory in computer as well as physically from vault to sales floor
