Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees while minimizing risks and hazards.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
- Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance metrics for management review.
- Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, CPR, first aid, and occupational health practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness through effective communication and training initiatives.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and facilitate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes related to environmental protection agency (EPA) standards and other relevant legislation.
- Weekly travel to various job sites throughout the state of Louisiana.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in an industrial or commercial construction environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and best practices in workplace safety.
- Certification in CPR, first aid, or other relevant safety training is preferred.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in training development and delivering engaging safety training sessions.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
