Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees while minimizing risks and hazards.

Duties

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance metrics for management review.
Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, CPR, first aid, and occupational health practices.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness through effective communication and training initiatives.
Manage workers' compensation claims and facilitate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
Stay updated on regulatory changes related to environmental protection agency (EPA) standards and other relevant legislation.
Weekly travel to various job sites throughout the state of Louisiana.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in an industrial or commercial construction environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and best practices in workplace safety.
Certification in CPR, first aid, or other relevant safety training is preferred.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Experience in training development and delivering engaging safety training sessions.
Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and procedures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
