Position Overview:

We are seeking fully licensed therapists to join our team! A current, active license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) is required. At least one year of outpatient mental health counseling experience is preferred.

This role is a 1099 contract position, offering flexibility in scheduling and compensation based on caseload.

As a licensed mental health counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.), you will deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to clients through virtual or in-person sessions. You will work collaboratively with other clinicians to provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families seeking support with mental health concerns.

We are a growing mental health private practice committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals seeking mental wellness. We aim to create a compassionate and safe environment for clients while offering our providers the flexibility and support they need to thrive. We are seeking to add two licensed mental health counselors to our team in Virginia on a contract basis, with a start date of January 5, 2026.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions for clients, focusing on mental health support and well-being.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, etc.) to help clients manage mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., psychiatric providers), as needed, to provide comprehensive care.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Maintain professional license in good standing.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required by respective licensing board standards.
Maintain professional liability insurance policy.

Qualifications:

Must be a fully licensed mental health professional in the state of Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar). Provisionally licensed candidates who will be fully licensed by December 15, 2025, will be considered.
Proven ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a therapeutic environment.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively, including minor administrative tasks (insurance billing and scheduling support provided).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems or a willingness to learn.
Flexible schedule and availability for remote and in-person sessions.

Compensation:

Competitive split based on caseload. Starting split of 60/40 in favor of the clinician, with a maximum split of 70/30 for full caseloads (average of 18-22 appointments per week).
