SUMMARY
The Audit, Safety, and Compliance Manager will oversee and manage all environmental health and safety, compliance, and audit functions and create and implement systems as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environment
•Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth
Safety, Audit & Compliance
•Safety orientation for all new hires to ensure team members work safe, home safe daily
•Responsible for the Bureau of Automotive Repair Compliance
•Responsible for all aspects of safety compliance (worker's compensation, safety training, HazCom, OSHA).
•Responsible for TIA (Tire Industry Association) training/certification (CTS300, FTF, ETS, ITS)
•Responsible for forklift training and certification
•Manage and maintain all records (TIA, MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration), DMV DOT, Forklift,etc.)
•Responsible for internal inventory audits, control, and compliance
•Keep IIPP, HIPP, and other required documents updated and maintained per state guidelines andrequirements
•Designs and implements programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units follow federal,state, and local regulatory requirements.
•Manage Safety and DOT Driving programs as needed
•Develop safety training calendar for computerized training, iSolved University training, onsite training, etc.
•Develop, implement, and manage the East Bay Tire Safety Program, in collaboration with HR
•Manage safety training in iSolved University
•Manage the East Bay Tire Boots on the Ground Program
•Manage the Safety Bonus Spreadsheet and prepare safety bonus for approval
•Tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies
Responsible for standardizing the operational procedures for all locations
- Administer and manage all aspects of the fleet, including handling insurance claims
- Administer, recommend, and improve the above processes
- Administer and manage Michelin Commercial Services Network (MCSN) audit and compliance (if applicable)
- Travel required to all East Bay Tire locations (travel up to 60%)
- Will work on special projects as directed
Vehicle Fleet
- Maintains the Employer Pull Notification system with the Department of Motor Vehicles
o Ensures all new employees are added, removes termed employees, and monitors reporting
- Ensures all vehicles registration and insurance is up to date, keeps digital logs and copies of all insurance and registration
- Ensures all DOT tags are renewed and placed on vehicles
- Coordinates with Insurance companies when there are accidents or incidents involving company vehicles
- Monitors Samsara camera systems
- Vehicle kits put in all vehicles
Building Maintenance
- Responsible for Inspecting facilities for any safety issues, damage, cleanliness, functionality, consistency, and represents the brand appropriately
o HVAC
o Restrooms
o Lights
o Locks
o Sprinkler systems
o Doors
o Etc.
- Ensures the maintenance schedule of facilities is maintained, location managers are keeping logs of maintenance, and notifies COO and HR of any deficiencies
- Develops a building maintenance standard for cleanliness, paint, and overall consistency of appearance and safety across all locations
- Ensure all cameras and security systems are in good working order across facilities
- Any theft, break-ins, or damage oversee communication with insurance carriers
Workers Compensation
- Ensure all workplace accidents or incidents are handled properly
- Ensure paperwork is filled out correctly and submitted to worker's compensation carriers.
- Attend bi-annual worker's compensation review of open claims
- Keep a spreadsheet or calendar of open claims to ensure status and upcoming appointments are known across HR and Safety departments
- Covid compliance and reporting as needed or as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Occupation Health and Safety, Health, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in safety, compliance, or related field, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing industry
- Safety certifications desired
- Familiarity with the tire industry ideal
- Demonstrated organizational capabilities, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills
- A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues or problems.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, carry, push, pull, and bend constantly. Work is conducted indoor offices and onsite job site settings.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft 365 Products, Adobe Suite Products, DocuSign, and various other software suites

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
